The poster announces the album launch of Romanian hip-hop artist Fratele. The goal was to create a hypnotic, kaleidoscopic image that fits with the album title: Bazar Sentimental (RO) - Sentimental Bazaar (EN). Improvisation plays such an important part in songwriting, and translating some of that spontaneity in the poster through a hands-on approach was the solution. Using a glass crystal and a photo camera to create the typographic background led to this organic, rhythmic, and to some extent, unplanned image. The strong texture dictates the overall composition and the small type enhances the flow. There’s also a subtle correlation between the overlapping words in the photo and the way evoked feelings intertwine and shift from one song to another.
