PAGE – Das Magazin der Kreativbranche is Germany’s leading magazine for designers, art buyers, and co in the creative industries. They asked me if they could use the double Ts I designed for Type Thursday Bucharest as their cover image for the 08.21 edition.

The initial poster was designed for Type Thursday Bucharest, and it shows two playful and intricate uppercase Ts, emphasizing the theme of the event: typography. Both letters are inspired by Engrosser’s Script, one of the most influential calligraphy styles, which dates back to the late 1800s. The design process was mostly based on doodling with four pencils taped together in a rectangular shape, and extrapolating the classical calligraphic feel into a 3D image that was finally rendered in Adobe Illustrator, thus creating a bridge between the "old ways" and the new ones.
