My work was showcased during the 9th edition of Bucharest Design Meetup, and to communicate the event, I designed a lettering piece that spoke of my skillset and craft. The sketching process was an intensely iterative one, inspired by traditional calligraphic letterforms and flourishes. One of the main sources of inspiration was George Bickham’s book The Universal Penman, one of the most influential calligraphy and lettering works, published back in 1733.
