After an introspective period of making personal notes on tolerance, I came to the idea that tolerance (for me) means seeing the bigger picture, piecing together small snippets of how we perceive the world around us. It may be confusing at first, and some people may see more while others, less. I implemented this idea by designing a set of letters to compose the word TOLERANȚĂ on the left edge of the poster and a different one on the right side. In between, there are a lot of combos from the corresponding letters, pieces, or repetitions that form characters. Some of the letters are weird, complicated, or incomplete. Some of them have odd perspectives. This was also another layer I added to the metaphor that tolerance often needs a change of perspective to be understood. The result is a cryptic one, not offering a straight answer on what tolerance is, but rather demanding self-reflection from the viewer.
